This place feels stuck in the Middle Ages. If you aren’t married to the person you’re travelling with, you simply can’t stay here. 👏🏻👏🏻

We had a really lovely week in Erdek after being away for a long time. The location is right in the center and by the shore, and it’s the newest and most luxurious hotel in Erdek. The pool is spacious, with a decent children’s pool too. There’s a public beach 150 m away, though my wife and I preferred Ocaklar, 7 km away. I especially recommend it. Lunch is easy to get from the nearby buffet shops and restaurants. Our room was small, which was the main drawback. The air conditioning, fridge, TV, hairdryer, and kettle all worked. I stayed seven days and asked for room cleaning three times. Each time it was done without fail. When we ran out of tea or sugar, they brought more straight away if we asked. The other complaints about cleaning didn’t match my experience, as long as you tell reception what you need before noon. One small gripe: no Nescafe with the tea. 😂 Dinner had two main dishes, usually one chicken and one meat, served by Chef Metin Bey, plus rice, pasta, or fries. There were also 12 tasty appetizers to choose from at the buffet. The food had the feel of a local diner, and breakfast was a classic spread. Water, ready-made lemonade, and cherry juice were free with dinner, and you could get tea and coffee afterward. For the price, expectations shouldn’t be too high, but we found the food better than what we’ve had at five-star hotels that cost three times as much. The one other downside was that there was no alcohol. If you’re coming to Erdek, the hotel met our expectations for what we paid.
