Hotel Helin

The terrace had a lovely sunset view, and the hotel is only 30 meters from the beach. There’s also a pool with slides. But the stay itself was rough. The rooms are tiny, and the rooms listed for three are really for two, with a mattress laid on the sofa. The sheets were filthy, and we got just one blanket for the double bed. We asked for another and were given one stained with food. Cleaners didn’t replace the towels, and there was no hot water, only cold from the heater. From the outside it looks luxurious, but I wouldn’t recommend staying here. The TV didn’t work, glass was coming off the wardrobe, the walls were peeling and had smears that looked like squashed insects. There were spiders in the room and too few outlets. Huge paintings took the place of normal lamps. You could hear everything from the next-door toilet. The elevators were slow, and one had cracks. Swallows nested over the terrace and left droppings there. Food was hit or miss.
