The garden and the cleaning staff were the only good parts for me. They were nice and helpful, though one waitress was very rude at dinner and didn’t even hand us a fork and knife properly. I can’t understand the 4-star rating. As a customer thinking clearly, I’d give it no more than 1 for the location, garden, and staff. The rest was disgusting. The food was the biggest problem on vacation. Breakfast was okay if you stuck to cut vegetables and fruit, which were all I could eat. The eggs and everything else were bland and tasted like powder. Lunch was plain spaghetti with ketchup, powder tomato soup, and bland couscous. The next day was the same, and I even found a bug in my salad. Dinner had lots of dishes, but it seemed quantity mattered more than quality. Barely two of the 15 dishes were edible or had any taste, and they all needed herbs. The second dinner was a little better, maybe because the hotel noticed guests were unhappy. The rooms looked old, and basic things like the toilet and shower were broken. The air conditioning couldn’t keep a steady temperature, it was either freezing or extremely hot. The pool and the area around it were old, broken, and dirty. Looking underwater through my goggles was disgusting, and the walls were covered in seaweed. It’s overpriced for what you get. I don’t know who they call cooks here, but they shouldn’t be serving food like this.

The beach was clear and really enjoyable, but that was the only thing not run by the hotel. We specifically asked the woman on the phone if the beach was reserved for hotel guests, and she said yes. That wasn’t true. The person managing the beach deliberately let people who hadn’t paid use the hotel beach to flirt with the girls. The hotel advertised itself as all inclusive, but that was a lie. It only provided three meals, not even sparkling water. Drinks were limited to water, chay, and Nescafé, plus a juice that tasted really strange. The dining room was disgusting, the meat smelled bad, there were almost no vegetarian choices beyond rice and uncooked vegetables, and the food overall wasn’t tasty. The entertainment was boring too. Our first room was sold as having a “beautiful beach view,” but we could only see a glimpse of the beach. We had to move rooms when the air conditioning didn’t work. The bedrooms and bathroom were dirty and moldy, and after a shower you felt dirtier than before. I hope the staff take these reviews seriously. I’ve never experienced such unprofessionalism. It’s unbelievable that they lie to guests and then carry on with dirty rooms and disgusting food.

The garden was beautiful, but I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful, relaxing stay. I spent five days here and didn’t enjoy it at all. It gave me a headache. The buffet and its organization were terrible. Plates, cutlery, and even chairs were dirty, and people waited in line 10-15 minutes for hot food. There weren’t many employees, and their attitude wasn’t professional. For example, one was smoking by the pool while guests were around. The rooms themselves were clean and good, but our showerhead was broken and wasn’t repaired until the last day, despite us asking at least once each day. At arrival, the receptionist was somewhat rude about payment, and we paid much more than we’d discussed over the phone.

A cozy hotel right on the beach, across from a fortress with its own history. There’s a beach and a place to relax under a big umbrella. The coffee was bad, it came from packets, and there’s also a figure that looks like the Statue of Liberty, though it isn’t her.

The garden is lovely and green, but the beach is some distance from the hotel. A golf car runs guests between the lobby and the beach. The rooms felt a little old-fashioned and weren’t especially cozy.
