Hotel Peyda Restaurant-Bar

The seats were filthy and covered in cigarette burns, and there was no toilet paper or soap. The air conditioning and TV were broken too. On our last night, a smell came from the air conditioner and the circuit breaker blew. At first they said there were no empty rooms. They only moved us after we threatened to call the police, and they didn’t help us with the move. In the morning, we explained everything to the lady at reception, but the man there, who seemed to think he owned the place, heard us and didn’t care. The people running this place are indifferent and irresponsible. They don’t take guests seriously or treat them like human beings. May the money we paid be cursed.

On our last day, we got back from the sea around 6 pm and started cooking. The air conditioner was on when a burning smell began coming from inside it. We told reception. Mr. Menderes came and said nothing was wrong, that we should leave it running. Two minutes later the circuit breakers started tripping. We called him back, and he reluctantly came to flip the breaker. After he left, it tripped again and the smell continued. Reception and maintenance wouldn’t believe us. When we asked to change rooms, they said there were no empty ones, but offered a dirty room if we wanted it. We asked whether they would stay in a dirty room and requested another room, or for that one to be cleaned first. They refused, saying nobody was available to clean. They put a screw in to stop the breaker tripping and left. Five minutes later, the fuse blew. My wife and children were frightened and screaming. When they heard us and we said we’d call the police, they finally changed our room. They saw flames coming from the fuse box themselves. A fire could have been much worse overnight. Instead of finding out why the fuse blew, they just fixed it with screws. It was 9 pm by the time we moved, and we carried all our things ourselves. No one offered to help. The children were starving and nearly fainting. The rest of the stay was a mess too. We booked three nights and came back because we’d stayed here before, but this hotel is a disaster. On arrival, they said they had to clean the room, so we waited an hour. The cleaning was haphazard, the towels were in terrible shape, not even fit to wipe your hands, and there were no hand towels. There was no soap, toilet paper, or water cups by the sink. After we asked, they only brought liquid soap and toilet paper a day later. The TV didn’t work either. I told reception five or six times before we left, and everyone passed the buck, promising it would be fixed in half an hour. It never was. It was just a 22-inch computer monitor. I’ve attached photos of the rooms. Don’t go there.

I gave it five stars only so this review would show up at the top. Even one star is too much for this dump. I’ve never stayed somewhere so filthy and awful. It’s a disgrace, not a hotel. You have to hold your nose when you enter the room. The kitchen cabinets are covered in handprints, and the refrigerators are moldy. The sheets, pillows, and towels smell unusable, and the manager wouldn’t even provide fresh towels. The sofas are disgusting, with cigarette burns, stains, and greasy marks. The windows are absolutely filthy, like they haven’t been cleaned in years, and the curtains are just as bad. I wonder what the cleaners think clean means. There’s no shampoo or soap, no towels, a broken shower, and the hot-water setting is terrible. The elevator doesn’t work, and when it does, the cigarette smell inside is so strong you can’t breathe. The pool is murky, everyone gets in, and because it’s by the road, no one seems responsible for it. Staying here means wasting money, catching germs, and putting yourself through misery. This kind of carelessness and indifference is unacceptable. For heaven’s sake, don’t go near the place.

Five stars just to make my review stand out. Even one is too much. I’ve never stayed in such a filthy, awful hotel. There wasn’t a single towel in the room, and basic things like soap, shampoo, and conditioner were missing. The shower head was broken, and the hot and cold water didn’t work properly, so the bathroom was unusable. The sofas were disgusting and covered in cigarette burns. There were handprints and grease all over the kitchen cabinets, and the pillows, sheets, and towels smelled awful. The elevator was broken, and when we arrived it reeked of cigarette smoke. The pool was filthy, unusable, and right by the roadside. You’ll feel humiliated for what you pay here. If you don’t want hygiene, comfort, or peace, maybe it’s the place for you. I won’t go near it again.
