Gritti Pera

Metin looked after us during our stay and was very helpful. The room was cleaned daily and came with fresh towels. We could walk to plenty of restaurants and shops from this superb location. Breakfast was okay, with lots of options.

Sara was the bright spot for me at Hotel Gritti Pera & Spa. She was professional, helpful, and made a real effort to assist during my stay. The rest of the service was poor, and most staff seemed more focused on getting money from guests than helping them. The Turkish hammam was dirty and didn’t seem properly maintained, so the hotel fell short of what I expected. I can’t recommend it, especially for the spa or dependable service.

Breakfast was the letdown. Eggs, sausages, and most of the other food were cold, and the buffet wasn’t topped up regularly, so popular choices disappeared quickly. The hotel is right in the city center, handy for sightseeing and eating out. Rooms are average, comfortable but unremarkable, while the cleaning staff are notably attentive and thorough. The location and service are strong, but breakfast needs a lot of work.

We checked out the next morning and had to pay for another hotel, while this hotel refused to refund us for the nights we didn’t stay. We’d asked for a quiet room, but were first told our booked rooms weren’t available because of an “electrical fault.” After insisting, we were put across from the street, where the restaurant and nightclub noise went on nonstop until 5:30 a.m. The rooms were disgusting, and my family and I didn’t dare eat there. We paid more than we would have at the Hilton, yet this was the worst hotel I’ve experienced. I have room photos to support what I’m saying, and expect a refund. The hotel and booking.com were both terrible, and I’ll share this on Google too. I’ve put one star, though there should be a zero-star option. Book at your own risk.
