We loved the peaceful setting, falling asleep to the sound of the waves, and the staff were friendly. But at almost 200 euros a night, it felt odd that the room had neither an extra pillow nor an iron. The food was the biggest letdown. It was bland and dry, more like a school canteen than a Turkish restaurant. There wasn’t any baklava, even on the weekend. We’d hoped for local dishes such as adana kebab, urfa kebab, grilled lamb, warm flatbread, lahmacun, or pide, but none were served. We ate better at a cheap place in Canakkale, where four of us paid 50 euros. For this price, the food should’ve been much better.
