Apple Tree Hotel

I asked for a top-floor room and got one, so they took my request into account. The hotel has an elevator, which was very convenient. My room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and I had a pretty nice view. It was next to the restaurant, so I could hear music, but that didn’t bother me since I always sleep with earplugs in cases like that. I liked staying here and recommend it.

The staff were so friendly and helpful, and breakfast had a great selection. We could eat indoors or out on the terrace and thought it was perfect. The old town location is fantastic, and getting here from the airport is easy by Havaist bus. It’s a 5-10 minute walk from the final stop. The hotel has a rooftop terrace and restaurant. The staff are kind and polite, and the location is very convenient. The hotel is relatively inexpensive for such a central spot, though the price seems to come with compromises. It could be a lovely little boutique hotel if more care went into the details. Cleanliness appears to get attention only in places guests can see. That feels more like a lack of care than a lack of ability. Moisture is another serious problem, especially in colder, wet or snowy weather, when ventilation and moisture control matter for avoiding mold and musty smells. The rooms are affected. The windows and walls don’t block sound or cold well, and one room had a cracked window temporarily patched with adhesive tape, which is unacceptable. Breakfast was disappointing, with few options and little attention to quality. The hotel has potential, but it falls short of what it could be without improvements to cleanliness, maintenance and comfort.

The food and drinks were great, and the little rooftop terrace has a lovely view over the water. The music could've been better, but I had a really nice time.
