We paid for the stay, but left after just one night and immediately moved to a new, clean hotel. We felt much more relaxed there, including at the pool. At this hotel, the place was very dirty and uncomfortable, and the bathroom was so bad we didn’t shower. The kitchen was missing basic items, including a knife, pan, and pot, and had very few utensils. The fan seemed fake, the key was difficult to turn in the door, and the air conditioner gave no cool air. A long-haired dog belonging to the hotel played in the pool, so none of us wanted to swim. I wondered whether most, or even all, of the other customers were friends or relatives of the owners. The hotel insisted they were customers, but when we left early in the morning, customers wouldn’t normally be opening the gate for other customers with a key or arranging all the tables and chairs before dinner. I heard children call the adults “Baba! Anne! Dede!” and asked them about it. When I got up around 8 or 8:30 for tea, nobody was working in the kitchen area, and it didn’t seem like anyone was preparing for customers. We had travelled there by plane and car. Don’t be taken in by the beautiful photos and good reviews. The first day of our trip was ruined. The hotel hadn’t maintained the interior or learned good customer service, and there were lots of excuses. We were disappointed.

I made a reservation through the hotel’s official website and received a booking number. I emailed to confirm it, but heard nothing for 10 days. After I followed up, they told me the prices were almost three times higher. The price shown on the site is one thing, but the price when you actually want to stay is another. Very unprofessional. I’d avoid them and book somewhere else.

For the price, I felt lucky to find a bed in such a convenient spot in Ovacık. Markets, kiosks, and ATMs are close, minibuses stop right outside, and Ölüdeniz is about 10 minutes away. The hotel is charming, family-run, and everyone was friendly, polite, and helpful. We were two friends staying for three nights and were delighted with it. Some of the reviews make fair points: the rooms and furniture are a bit old, and our kitchen didn’t have a trash can. We put our rubbish in a bag and didn’t make an issue of it. When we asked for a kettle and iron, they brought them right away. We also wanted to use the pool early, and Tamer woke up and cleaned it for us. I value that kind of helpfulness. It’s not a house, so there can be shortcomings, and the price is very reasonable for the location. If you’re not too picky, I’d definitely recommend staying here. Hope we can come back 🙏
