We were out exploring most of the time and mainly used the guesthouse to sleep. Over five or six days, I went back and forth between Kaş and Gökçeören, visited Demre and Çıralı beach, and ate at Neşeli Balık restaurant, Köfteci Yusuf, and meat places in the bays. We picked up warm bagels by the market for breakfast and bought fresh produce at the Saturday market. I stayed 15 days, and this is my second year here. The price and cleanliness make it good value. Kaş’s cheapest nightly rate was 5000 TL, around two and a half times as much. What I would have spent on four days at a five-star hotel paid for a 15-day holiday instead. Don’t limit yourself to a five-star hotel and wait in line for meals. You can travel around and eat what you like.

The rooms were clean, and the sea was within walking distance. There’s a market close by too. The kitchen had pots and pans, and there was parking and air conditioning. I was happy with the place.

The furniture looks like it’s from the eighties or nineties, yet the rent is 20,000 lira. If you can raise prices each year to keep up with inflation, you should be able to update the furnishings too. Really disappointing.

We’ve come here as a family for two years now. Mr. Ali is attentive and very helpful, and the place is quiet, peaceful, family-friendly, and close to markets. It is a bit old, though that’s understandable with people constantly coming and going. The shared area has washing machines, and the kitchens are large, air-conditioned, and satisfactory. Thanks. People with very high expectations may be better off choosing a hotel.

When we arrived, they charged us more than the price quoted over the phone. The room had bugs all over, including bedbugs and similar insects. There wasn’t any liquid soap in the bathroom, so we had to use soap from the kitchen. The man working at the guesthouse was a disaster. He barely looks you in the face, and communicating with him is impossible.
