Arun Suites

We ended up leaving on the first night of a five-night booking. The reception lady was polite and did her best to help, and the restaurant food was delicious, but neither made up for the disappointment. The place felt more like apartments above a restaurant than a hotel. Each evening, the restaurant downstairs had loud live music. We could hear it in our second-floor room with every window shut, and neither we nor our two-year-old could sleep. The kitchen had no plates, dishes, or cutlery, and the whole property smelled strongly of cigarette smoke. The hotel's own advert never mentioned the noise or that it might not suit families, and we felt misled by both the promotion and the other reviews. We lost the five-day stay and had to find another hotel urgently. I definitely wouldn't recommend it, especially with young children. You may regret it.

The room wasn't very clean, and a bachelorette party downstairs kept the bass thumping until 2 or 3 AM, so we couldn't sleep. We'd picked the place for a relaxing holiday. We booked a 1+1 suite based on the Airbnb photos, expecting two beds in one of the rooms, but it was a pull-out sofa bed instead. They explained that families come and the room is designed for children, though the listing never said that. At first they put us in a room with a door that wouldn't shut and a smelly bathroom. They did change it, but asking for an extra duvet brought a ridiculous explanation that they only provide one per room and don't have a waitress.

On arrival, we were first given a room with wet linens, a door that wouldn't close, and a filthy toilet, so we had to pack up and move. The room we booked was advertised for four people with two beds, but one was just a mattress on the floor and nothing like the photos. The other so-called bed was broken on one side, and we might as well have slept on the floor. They said it was meant for children, but that wasn't in the room details. I wouldn't stay in a room advertised as “1+1” (one bedroom and one living room); I doubt the others are any different.

The staff were attentive and the place was very clean, which makes this one of the few places in Gaziantep I'd recommend. It's a great hotel for a stay with family, a partner, or friends. Highly recommend it.
