The best part was having Aysel Hanım's mansion and its courtyard to ourselves as two families, with no other rooms occupied. The rooms were clean and the beds especially comfortable, though we didn't get any room cleaning during the stay, perhaps because we were out of the mansion. The woman helping at breakfast was really friendly, too. The courtyard itself looked neglected, with dirty weeds by the front entrance. Maybe it hadn't been cleaned for winter, but it still needed attention. On the first night the air conditioner took ages to warm the room, and we only got comfortable toward morning. The next days were fine once the room was warm. The toilet in the other room leaked from the ceiling and caused a lot of trouble for the people staying there. For the price, it felt a little below average.

It’s easy to get around from here, with everything within walking distance, and the neighborhood is mostly quiet. The rooms are roomy and very clean, and the staff were warm and helpful. We had a small heating issue, but they fixed it right away and even offered to open the room across the hall if we still weren’t comfortable. A really nice place to stay.
