The only drawbacks for us were the room's plumbing and the lack of an elevator. The toilet's bidet wasn't working; we told reception, and they got on it the next day. Staff also carried our luggage upstairs. We stayed two nights at Levissi Boutique Hotel after coming from Australia and had a good experience. Ms Ayse and Ms Emel were especially warm and welcoming. They prepared breakfast thoughtfully, paying attention to what we needed, and pointed us to some great places with clear, easy directions. The hotel is near the city centre, Almaci pazari, and plenty of cafes within walking distance. Bey Mahallesi is full of culture, and the nearby streets make a lovely place for early morning photos before they get busy. I'd still recommend it. You don't find such friendly, helpful people everywhere 😉

The neighborhood is fascinating, but it gets noisy. We slept poorly because people often walked past our window loudly, even late at night. Our room was clean and tidy, though small for two. Breakfast was generous, varied, and good quality, and the breakfast staff were especially kind and friendly. The hotel staff were helpful and welcoming too.

Be sure to ask for the AC remote if you want to adjust the room temperature. We visited in January, when days could be warm but nights got quite chilly. This boutique hotel has comfortable rooms and wonderful staff. The receptionist welcomed us warmly and went out of her way to answer all our questions about things to see and places to eat. The cleaning manager even called her daughter to help arrange a dinner reservation. There's plenty to do around the city, so leave time for local markets, chatting with shop owners, trying food and baklava, and enjoying how warmly people treat you.
