Cinarli Kasri Hotel

The setting is remote, though there’s a surf club bar within walking distance that I really liked. It’s clean and makes great cocktails. Back at the hotel, the pool area was relaxing and surprisingly spotless, right down to the clean, comfortable sun beds. The rooms are modern, roomy and clean, with very thorough daily cleaning. Cinarli Kasri’s staff were friendly and incredibly helpful, and Sebnem and Sule especially made my stay more comfortable and enjoyable. I also liked the restaurant’s wide choice of dishes and the breakfast, which had plenty of options for different tastes. To me, this is Turkey’s hidden gem. I’d book again in a heartbeat.

There are a lot of people, so book ahead if you’re planning to go. It’s a fairly new place, only a couple of years old, and a good place to stay if you’re not sure where to go. The staff are friendly, and it’s clean, with good food and drinks and a nice view. You can also rent a windsurf nearby and give surfing a try.

The beds are comfortable, the restaurant is very good, and the hotel itself has lovely architecture. But the area around it is covered with plastic bags and other trash, even by the pool where you go for dinner. PLEASE CLEAN YOUR ISLAND.

At €210 a night, the service quality doesn’t justify the price for me. I wouldn’t normally pay more than €100. The room wasn’t ready at 2 p.m., and when it was cleaned at 3:30 p.m., our children were asleep, so we either had to miss the cleaning or be disturbed. The bathroom tap dripped, and after a glass broke in the room, pieces were left under the curtains. In one of the two rooms, the air conditioner was mounted above the bed. Our friends also found their car scratched by goats in the hotel parking lot. Breakfast was quite poor. When the island’s electricity went out, this was the only hotel in the area without a generator, despite being rated four stars. The booking score and price don’t match what we experienced.
