Ece Hotel Bodrum

We liked the location because it was away from the crowded beach hotels. The towels came neatly packed and clean, and the breakfast trays were modest but pleasant and clean. The rooms were a real disappointment, though. Everything felt old and neglected, including the bathroom, which wasn’t cleaned properly. The shower cubicle door was scaled all over. The air conditioner was very old and didn’t work well, and the bed squeaked even when my baby moved. Mosquitoes were a problem, but there was no net on the balcony door, so we couldn’t leave it open. With a little child, sleeping in a hot, stuffy room was difficult. The place needs refurbishment.

The owners made us feel at home, and the staff were so friendly and quick to help with questions or concerns. Our room was spacious and clean, with antique vibes I liked. Breakfast was included, which was great. There’s a really lovely beach about a 10-minute walk away. I’d planned to try other beaches around Bodrum, but the water here was so good that I ended up swimming nearby instead. Ece hotel is also a short taxi ride from places like Türkbükü and Yalikavak, while being much quieter and less crowded. Herşey için çok teşekkür ederiz.

Mr Erkan, the hotel owner and manager, was always kind and helpful. There’s jazz and baroque music playing around the place, and the room furnishings are all unique antique and vintage pieces. It’s a good example of a boutique hotel in Bodrum, and the prices are fair.

The pool and gardens are beautiful, and the Turkish breakfast was amazing. Erkan, the owner, is an absolute dream and looks after his guests, taking time to share tips on places to visit. This is the most relaxing hotel I’ve stayed at. I’ll be back next year!
