Alpar at reception was friendly, spoke great English, and knew a lot about things to do and local advice. I’m vegetarian, and he pointed us to Gurme kebab restaurant, which served delicious, authentic Turkish food with options to suit different dietary needs. We stayed two nights and enjoyed it. The hotel is within walking distance of shops and restaurants, and it’s a good, affordable place to stay in Göreme. The rooms were warm and had what we needed: bathrooms, towels, slippers, tea and coffee, and a TV. Breakfast was a nice buffet, though I missed having fruit. There were puppies in the garden, which was very cute, plus a pool, fire pit, and outdoor bar that would be great in summer. It was too cold for us to swim during our visit.

The pool was the biggest disappointment. The water was green with algae and wasn’t usable. It seemed like there might be a real issue with the pump or filtration, since I doubt ordinary cleaning neglect would cause that much dirtiness. For now, don’t count on swimming. There was also a lot of wear and tear in our room, with frayed electrical cables and makeshift repairs held together with cable ties. The room was okay, though: a good size, big shower, working hot water, and a clean, comfortable bed. They also provided slippers. This isn’t a luxury stay, but it worked fine as a base for days out exploring Cappadocia. My wife and I spent four nights here on our honeymoon in Turkey and had a great time. I’m not sure why some reviews are so negative. The staff were lovely and helpful, and let us use the hotel facilities for hours after checkout because our coach didn’t leave until the evening. The location was excellent, about a five-minute walk to the centre of Goreme and ten minutes to the sunrise balloon viewing point. Breakfast was nice, with Turkish tea and coffee, cereal, bread and jams, olives, meats, cheeses, cucumber, tomatoes, and some sweet things like cake. There’s a dog wandering around the garden and reception. That could be a plus or minus depending on you, but we loved the friendly little guy and bought him treats. The location, staff, garden, dog, shower, breakfast, and price were all positives for us. We had a good stay, and I hope this honest review helps.

The windows face the road, so I could hear a little traffic when cars went by. Since the hotel isn’t right in the town’s most central spot, though, it should be fine. It’s about a 5-10 minute walk to the center, and the hotel is worth the price. My room and bathroom were clean, and the breakfast selection wasn’t huge but was enough for me. There’s a kitchen and dining room downstairs, plus a garden and an upstairs balcony where you can eat outdoors. The tall man on the night shift at reception was nice and helpful, and there’s a lovely dog who enjoys playing with people. I asked questions through agoda before my visit and got quick replies. I’d say it’s a good experience, especially for the low price in Gerome. Some people leaving low ratings may be expecting too much.

The staff were so kind and helpful. They let us leave our bags after checkout and collect them before catching our bus, which made things easy. The room was clean and cozy, and the rest of the hotel was clean too. It’s a quiet, peaceful area, with a flat, easy ten-minute walk to the bus station. Breakfast was a nice standard Turkish spread, and the breakfast area was cute. I had a great stay, would happily come back, and highly recommend it.
