The host made the stay feel personal, and we had a lovely chat with him. He rides a motorbike too, so he let us leave ours in the yard. The family-run place felt welcoming, and our room was comfortable and well located. We had a great night at Osmanoglu Hotel, with warm hospitality from both him and his mother.

We had a good night’s sleep in the spacious room, and the bathroom was clean. Breakfast was fresh and delicious, served in the courtyard among chickens and cats when the weather cooperated. The owners are very friendly and hospitable, and their son speaks excellent English. It’s a well-run family pension, and I’d highly recommend both it and Güzelyurt.

We were glad they took us in just after a large group had visited. We got to share dinner and breakfast with the family, and Nuriye’s homemade regional dishes were amazing. It’s a lovely family-run hotel, with very friendly staff and rescued cats and a dog.

The village has a long history and feels like a hidden gem, well away from the heavily touristed resorts. What I’ll remember most, though, is how this family welcomed four uninvited visitors from Greece into their home on New Year’s Eve. They made us feel at ease right away, and we had such a good time with them. The mother looked after us so kindly. She cooked generous traditional Anatolian dishes, kept our room spotless, and made sure we stayed warm with plenty of tea by the fire. The father shared Turkish language, culture, and traditions with us, and we discovered a common origin. Their children helped with everything, from shopping and trekking to getting us to places we wanted to see. It was the sweetest memory of our trip. We hope to meet again soon. Thank you so much!
