The rudeness was the main problem, and I won’t ever come back. I stayed for seven nights at this family-run bed and breakfast. The room was very basic. A kettle would have been nice, though I suppose it wasn’t essential since there was nescafe downstairs. The man at reception was really rude and unhelpful. The women on staff spoke to me, but weren’t friendly or considerate toward me as a client. They were strict about clearing breakfast right at 10.00 am, so at 10.05 I couldn’t even get a cup of tea. For the last two days, they also stopped providing the promised open buffet and simply gave me a plate they’d prepared without asking. Their reason was that they only had three clients. I was one of those three, so apparently they no longer had to keep their promise. The location isn’t far from the seaside, but neither are the other hotels, and içmeker is a small area to stay in, so that isn’t a plus. There were cheaper hotels nearby where you could find your way around much more easily. If you really want to come to İçmeler, my advice is to choose an all-inclusive hotel, so you don’t have to deal with hotels and restaurants. Rudeness and ripping people off seem to be general rules in this region.
