Kurt Apart

We’re already booked for next year after our second visit. It’s a very clean, relaxing place, tucked away in a quiet spot but just a short walk from the town centre. The staff are so welcoming and go out of their way to make sure you have everything you need.

I was a little wary about Kurt Apartments after reading negative reviews, but none of those complaints came up during my stay. The staff were pleasant and polite, including the manager, who seems to be a common complaint. We met when I arrived and shook hands, and he was always pleasant with me. When I left my phone in a taxi, he called around until it was returned. We went to their BBQ night, which was well worth £25.00 for three courses. Nobody pestered us to eat or drink at the restaurant, and when we came back after eating elsewhere, we were greeted with a cheerful hello, never dirty looks or complaints. The apartments are roomy, everything worked as it should, and the friendly cleaning staff cleaned daily. After six nights I gave in and paid for aircon, mostly because the mosquitoes were feasting on me and, judging by how often I was bitten, bringing their friends too. £10.00 a night seemed expensive, though I found out other places charged about the same. It was a pleasant stay on a budget holiday. The place is a bit out of the way from the town centre, and I’m not keen on walking in 30-35 degree heat, so I used local taxis a few times at £5.00 a ride. NB. I’ve noticed that if you give Turkish people attitude or act like a dick, they’ll treat you the same. Be nice and courteous and they’ll treat you like family.

It’s a lovely place, but the bathroom kept flooding. I mentioned it several times and it was never fixed. I’d avoid putting children in the apartment above, as they ran around and slammed doors.

Staying here made my first trip to Turkey even better. The apartments are spacious and clean, and the staff are absolutely fantastic. It’s not too expensive either.
