Hotel Gold Yildirim

I was pleased with my one-night stay. The room was very clean and hygienic, and the buffet was pretty good, just normal. Everyone was friendly and attentive, including the staff working on the floor who were especially helpful.

There’s a strong cigarette smell in the rooms, and turning on the AC seems to make it even worse, though I’m not sure if the units’ location is the reason. The furnishings are very old. The hotel has a very good location and parking, while breakfast is adequate. Given the price and the limited number of hotels in Iğdır, it’s still a workable option.

The air conditioning didn’t work, and the staff told us it had been broken for two days. They wouldn’t move us because they said every room was full, so we had to try to sleep in the heat without AC. The bathroom floor stayed wet because the shower door was broken, and the rooms weren’t very clean. It may be cheap, but a hotel should provide basic necessities. I definitely wouldn’t recommend it.

The location is good and there’s parking, but the rooms weren’t very clean. The first one they showed us smelled strongly of cigarette smoke. The low price seemed about right.
