4 Floors Istanbul

I only got to stay one night, and I’m already looking forward to coming back for longer and enjoying the place properly. This loft is somewhere you want to linger, maybe take your coffee out to one of the three terraces and enjoy the spectacular views. The design feels thoughtfully done by someone with a real eye for aesthetics. There are walls with different textures, lighting that gives the place a warm, inviting feel, and furniture that mostly looks handmade. The little details make it feel like a work of art. It really changes what accommodation can be.

EDIT: The owner’s response is a complete lie. He sent a voice message saying most rooms were available, except one that was only free for two of the days of our stay. Between the time I texted him back and his reply, all the rooms had somehow been booked out. Awful experience, with no hospitality or respect. I tried to book here and found the communication incredibly frustrating. They took ages to send rates, and then the room I wanted was fully booked within two hours of getting them. From the voicemail, it sounded like the rates were being made up on the spot, and they were higher than the website’s stated range. When I said I was frustrated both about the price and the room getting booked so quickly, I was told I was the rude one. I was trying to be as respectful as possible. The place looks great, but the person running it doesn’t seem to understand hospitality or how to be nice. I’d advise against staying here. There are plenty of other places in Istanbul.

The basement was a really cool place to stay for more than a week. It was a bit damp because of the rain, but still very comfortable. The host was amazing, well educated and well traveled, full of energy and with plenty of stories to tell. I’d definitely come back.
