Actuel Life Hotel

We were three family members and stayed five days. The location was okay, but walking meant tackling about 150 meters uphill or using stairs, which was especially tough with a stroller. There’s no laundry service, the hair dryer didn’t work properly, and the room ventilation was weak. I also thought the cleanliness fell short. An average stay.

The breakfast was delicious, and the woman in the kitchen was lovely. At reception, the team were friendly too, especially the young man on the night shift. He was really helpful and spoke perfect English, and that made a difference. I spent seven nights here and was treated with kindness and respect the whole time. For a budget-friendly hotel, it’s great value. The room was clean and comfortable, and the sheets and essentials were refreshed regularly. I was very happy with my choice and would book again next time I visit.

The staff were really friendly and helpful, and Osmanbey metro station is nearby. Getting there means going up a steep hill from the hotel, which could be hard with a suitcase or baby pram. I found an easy workaround: catch the hourly bus right by the hotel and get off at the next stop.

The room itself was passable, but the service problems made this a very disappointing stay. We’d booked the best available room with breakfast, yet were given a standard room at check-in. We were tired and didn’t push it, since it was reasonably comfortable. The next morning, before checking out, we went looking for breakfast. The receptionist sent us downstairs, but the dining area was empty and quiet. The only staff member there said, rather rudely, “There’s no breakfast,” then walked away. When we asked the receptionist again, he asked if we’d booked two weeks earlier and said more recent reservations no longer included breakfast. We told him it had been over a month, but he seemed unsure and offered no explanation or solution. We had to find food elsewhere, which was difficult with the hotel’s remote location and no nearby public transport or easy taxi access. Later that night, the water stopped completely while we were trying to clean up. I’ve never had that happen at a hotel, and it was extremely frustrating and unacceptable. The poor communication, staff’s lack of professionalism, and basic service failures were far below what we expected for the price and what had been promised.
