Hotel Alilass

The staff were wonderful and helped arrange my early-morning airport transfer for only 15 €. I loved the glass house restaurant in the hotel courtyard, and the breakfast selection was excellent. I spent five nights at the Alilass Hotel using it as my base to explore Istanbul, and couldn’t have been happier. My room was modern and comfortable, and the neighborhood made it easy to reach the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, and walks along the Bosphorous. It’s an excellent small hotel with personal service.

The room was comfortable and clean, and breakfast was good. The staff could feel a little cold and not very welcoming at times, though. We had a good stay at Hotel Alilass, and its location close to The Blue Mosque was what convinced us to book.

When we had breakfast, we met the hotel’s owner, a young, beautiful lady who greeted us and chatted with us. She told us where to find the best authentic baklava in town and suggested places to visit. We were grateful for her tips. My family and I spent a holiday in Istanbul around 2019 and stayed at Alilass Hotel. Our room was very comfortable for the affordable price at the time. The location was strategic, very near the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia, and it was easy to find restaurants or a minimart for things we needed.

We stayed for about five days on holiday, and I was impressed from the start. The room was wonderful, everything worked properly, and complimentary bottles of water were provided every day. The bathroom was lovely with good water pressure. It was cleaned thoroughly daily, and there was no pressure to leave at a set time. Towels and other items could also be replaced daily if needed. Breakfast was good, though I didn’t think there was much beyond carbs. I’m pretty sure it was included in the price, so I can’t complain, and there was still enough to last until lunch. The staff were genuinely lovely and helpful, and went the extra mile. Before our flight we had to wait around, and one staff member offered us a blanket for the sofa and drinks, then made sure our taxi was on time. I can’t remember his name, but he was 42, in case that helps identify him. The location is superb, just a 3-4 minute walk from the square with Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque, and Topkapi. There are also loads of good restaurants nearby, both rooftop and ground-level, with options for any budget. I’d absolutely recommend staying here in Istanbul. Really great, thanks very much.
