Andi Hotel

For a budget stay, the location works well: Osmanbey metro station is about a five-minute walk away. The rooms are narrow, breakfast is very basic, and there was no water in the rooms or cleaning service during my stay. It suits someone watching their spending, as long as they don't expect many amenities.

The location was a bright spot, in a convenient part of the city. The room and the way my concerns were handled were a different story. There was mold in the bathroom and other cleanliness problems, and the bed was uncomfortable. I asked for better bedding, but the woman in Reception was resistant and unhelpful. She was unfriendly throughout, and when I raised the room issues, all she said was, "We do nothing for you." I had booked a King-size bed through Agoda, but was given a smaller one when I arrived. That mismatch was a major disappointment, and the bed itself made the stay worse. After just one night I checked out, although my booking was for six nights. I wouldn't recommend Andi Hotel to future travelers, given the misleading information and the way I was treated.

The bed was very comfortable, and the room had AC, which came in handy during our July stay. We booked an economy room; it was small, but had everything we needed. Breakfast came to the room each day and was the same each time, but it was good, so that was fine. It's a nice little hotel, with the metro five minutes away on foot, the bus three minutes away, and Taksim square around a 20-minute walk.

We found the hotel on Booking, and it was good value for the money. The room was nice and clean, with enough space for two, and the bed was great. Staff were friendly, though they didn't speak English. It's about a 20-minute walk to Taksim Square, but there's no hotel sign, so type in the full address to make sure you've got the right place. The sound insulation wasn't as good as described. Breakfast was the same each day and didn't look like the photos on Booking.
