Aspera Hotel Golden Horn

I was unlucky enough to get sick on holiday, with a fever of 39.7°C (102.7°F), and felt like I almost died in the room. 😅 Being there for a week gave me a real appreciation for the service, the room, bed, linens, and housekeeping. After I sweated so much overnight that even the mattress was wet, the cleaning staff changed all the linens. I was very grateful and left them a tip. The room itself was lovely, recently renovated and very clean, with all the needed towels, slippers, and toiletries, a shower that worked well, a TV, and a wonderfully soft bed with a good mattress. Room cleaning was beyond praise. The hotel is very good, though, like everything in Turkey these days, a bit expensive because of the country’s economic situation. I’d recommend it for the excellent service, great location and rooms, fantastic view, decent soundproofing, and easy transport access. I think it’s worth the money.

The TV was the one small letdown. I may have missed something, but I couldn’t connect it to watch my own content. Maybe it just needs an update, since newer systems often make Netflix or YouTube available with one click instead of only offering a limited set of channels. Otherwise, I was very happy with the room and the staff. The room was clean, well furnished, and had everything I needed. I loved the city view, and it stayed quiet and comfortable inside. The bathroom was spacious, with strong water pressure and good ventilation, and the temperature felt pleasant even in winter. Staff were attentive, helpful, and accommodating throughout. The location and room amenities, along with the service, are why I’d gladly recommend this hotel.

BaiFern and Mod made my visit especially welcoming. They handled check-in smoothly and were always there if I had a question. The reception team were helpful throughout my stay. I had a wonderful time here and would recommend the hotel.

The staff were so courteous and helpful, and Elif deserves a special mention. She went out of her way to help with anything we needed, and was both incredibly kind and excellent at her job. The hotel was spotless and perfectly located.
