The kitchen was the main drawback. We had just one dinner plate, two side plates, no sharp knives, and deep pans but no frying pans. Since we usually ate out, that wasn't a problem for us, though it might matter if you're planning to cook for yourself. We spent a week in a standard apartment without a sea view, and it worked very well for our family holiday. It's a simple place, about a 20-minute walk from Sultan Ahmet's main sights, including the bazaars and Blue Mosque. The main road makes it easy to catch a taxi. Sea-view rooms face that road and are quite loud; rooms on the other side are quieter but have no view. I'd stay again if I visited, and thought it was very good value at 60 euros a night.
