Blue Horizon Residence

I reluctantly stayed in a room that made me feel nauseous. It smelled awful and was filthy, from the curtains and walls to the floor and even the bed. I put my clothes on the pillows instead. There were loads of bugs in the room, and I killed at least five or six.

This was in July 2023. The room we got didn't match the website pictures, and the blankets were stained and dirty. The furniture was broken, the bathroom hadn't been cleaned, and there was hair on the walls when we went to shower. I wouldn't have minded if the pictures were accurate, but they shouldn't mislead people.

From outside, the hotel looks lovely, and the reception is beautiful, but the rooms are old and need renovation. In summer it gets humid and stuffy, with no air conditioning. The window facing another room had only a curtain between us, so I could hear my noisy neighbors clearly. There was no soundproofing at all. The door lock didn't work right, and I had to call the receptionist for help. They charge a lot but don't seem willing to repair or maintain the rooms. Don't be taken in by the fancy exterior. The location is awkward too, with steep ups and downs, though having a taxi or car makes that less of a problem.

The room looked nice when we booked through Agoda, but the place was disappointing when we arrived. They never show this side of the room. It's dirty all over, with cracks and broken parts everywhere. You start wondering if something's been put in there.
