Blue Ottoman Hotel

Fresh, delicious breakfast, clean rooms, and very polite, friendly service. The location is amazing too. Thank you 😎 I'll stay at this hotel again when I'm next in Istanbul. :-)

The staff were warm and receptive, and Blue Ottoman Hotel is a charming base in a great spot for exploring the city. Breakfast came with our booking. It was a basic buffet, nothing special, but enough to get the day started. Our Double Deluxe Room felt quite cramped. There was barely room for our suitcases, which made packing and unpacking difficult. Also, the nearby mosque's call to prayer begins around 5:00 AM and can be loud if you're a light sleeper. A nice stay for the location and hospitality, though the limited room space and early noise are worth knowing about.

We only had one night because we couldn't stay longer, but the hotel was well worth visiting. It's right in the center of a traditional neighborhood, next to the Blue Mosque, and the evening view was breathtaking. We could reach all the sights on foot. Our room was beautiful and clean, and the staff were attentive and friendly. Breakfast on the rooftop, with a stunning view across Istanbul, was the icing on the cake. We can really recommend this charming hotel.

The hotel was clean, and the staff were lovely overall. The blond woman serving breakfast was so sweet, thank you. There was also a young woman with long dark hair who seemed unhappy with her life and work. I hope she finds happiness. The younger man at reception was helpful and kind, as was the older receptionist. I hugged him on our last day to thank him, and he kissed my neck in response. I've been sexually abused a few times a year since I was 12, so this is another incident added to that history. I need to learn to limit my friendly nature, even when I care about people, or I may end up being kissed on the neck by a receptionist. Because of my past, it left me feeling somewhat traumatised. Apart from that experience, everyone was kind and nice. The hotel ordered a taxi to the airport, and we paid 45 euros at reception. At the airport, the driver said we owed another 300 liras for crossing the bridge. His English was poor, so he couldn't explain it well; eventually he gave up and left angrily without getting any money from me.
