Business Life Hotel & SPA Bakırköy

The location was really good, and we found the room clean and comfortable. We stayed a few nights and had a very good experience. Staff were friendly and always willing to help. I’d definitely return.

The location was a real plus. Long street markets are within walking distance, along with a waterside park that reminded me of Stanley Park in Vancouver. Marmaray metro access is easy, and I felt safe walking around, even at night. Breakfast was the same every day, though, so I’d have liked more variety. I spent 12 days at Business Life Hotel & Spa, and Mr. Mehmat was consistently helpful and attentive, even outside his working hours. It was my first time travelling alone, in a country quite different from Canada, where I’m from, and his support meant a lot. When my flight was unexpectedly cancelled near the end of my stay, the hotel was fully booked, but he still helped me look for somewhere else to stay. The other front desk staff were welcoming too, and the housekeeper on my floor was lovely. One staff member behaved inappropriately in the elevator by touching my hair and shoulder. I reported it to the front desk right away. It was addressed at the time, but it didn’t seem to reach management, since Mr. Mehmat hadn’t heard about it when I spoke to him later. He took it seriously, asked me for a written statement, and said it would be handled. I didn’t follow up after that, but I hope the right action was taken. My main concern was how the report was managed, more than the incident itself. Clearer communication within the hotel would help. Even with that issue, I’d still give the stay five stars. The care and hospitality, especially from Mr. Mehmat, left a lasting impression.

The room was the main problem. I could hear every sound, and sleep was difficult on most nights. Children cried in the hotel, and at 4 a.m. one night, a woman on the floor below argued with someone for two hours. Reception said they’d sort it out when I called, but nothing changed. The room looked clean at first, but the floor was very dirty. Housekeeping came daily, yet the towels and bedding were never changed, which really surprised me. The hotel initially seemed neat and cared for, and the staff were genuinely friendly. Breakfast was delicious. Even so, I wouldn’t want to repeat the experience.

My room stayed quiet and well kept, which made it easy to unwind after busy days. I was here for 14 days, and the clean, comfortable hotel and consistently polite, friendly, helpful staff made the long stay much easier. I felt welcome and looked after, and would gladly stay again.
