The first room I was given smelled awful, and I later found out the first room on each floor is connected to the sewer ventilation duct. That odor stayed throughout my time there, which was a real disappointment. On the second night, the staff moved me to another room, and that one was in good shape. I appreciate that they tried to fix the problem, though the start of my stay wasn’t what I’d expected.

I came back to camlus hotel for a second stay, and the staff made me feel welcome as soon as I arrived. A big thanks to and mr Arafat and the night guy whose name I don’t know. You’ll recognize him by his good looks, big smile, and warm welcome. They speak English too, so no worries. They were kind and professional throughout. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well kept. It’s a good spot for exploring Istanbul, close enough to get around but away from the city noise. I felt safe leaving my bag at reception and felt looked after the whole time. I’d recommend campus hotel to anyone visiting Istanbul, and I’m already hoping to return! 27/9/2025

It’s a cozy, friendly place, and the staff feel like family. The area is lovely, quiet, and green. They also let you check into your room early.
