Capricorn by Otantik Suites Apartment hotel

Getting to the tram is convenient, just a 5-minute walk. The room was clean, though some of the fixtures looked tired, and communication was excellent. There are narrow stairs and no elevator, plus a hill outside, so it may not suit people with lots of luggage or poor mobility. I'd stay again.

For the price, this is excellent value, and it’s easy to forgive some of the building’s older features. Abdullah and the other staff were friendly and welcoming. My spacious room even had a small kitchen area. I’d definitely stay here again if I visit Istanbul.

The steep hill from the Cemberlitas stop to Capricorn was a challenge with luggage, though manageable on foot without it. There’s also no elevator, just a narrow winding staircase, which worked for me but could be hard for some travelers. Anyone with mobility limitations may find this isn't the hotel for them. I had a pleasant 5-day stay for a very reasonable price. My large room had a refrigerator, microwave, hot plate and strong internet, and the water pressure was good. Nearby grocery stores made it easy to shop and cook. I could walk to Hagia Sophia, the former Hippodrome and the Sultan Ahmed mosque. For places farther away like Galata or Taksim Square, I could take the T1 tram from the nearby Cemberlitas stop.

The staff were so welcoming, friendly and helpful with what we needed. Our room was clean, nicely prepared, and had everything for the stay. The location was ideal, close to the historical site, restaurants and public transport. It exceeded our expectations. I'd definitely recommend it and would come back.
