The apartment has a fantastic Bosphorus view from the living room and a lovely private terrace with a fig tree. The bed was comfortable, and there’s enough space for a couple with one or two kids. It has a washing machine and dishwasher, and the owner’s representative was friendly. There’s a taxi stand two minutes away and a fantastic cafe three minutes on foot. But the windows don’t seal properly, so it’s noisy, especially with a mosque nearby. The wifi was unreliable, the furniture was worn and old, and the ironing table is a joke. Amenities are cheap, there’s no kitchen starter kit so you have to buy everything, and cleanliness was below average. The metro is a 20-minute uphill walk. Given all that, it’s expensive for what you get, and the housing was disappointing for the price.
