We arrived at 1:00 AM to a complete blackout and, despite having paid, couldn't get into our room. A city-center hotel this size should have backup power. The lack of preparation and professionalism was astonishing. Staff couldn't manage a normal conversation in English and relied on phone translation apps, which is unacceptable for a hotel claiming three stars in central Istanbul. The whole thing was frustrating and infuriating. I'd give it zero stars if I could.

The lounge looked lovely, and both the breakfast room and breakfast itself were good. The rooms, though, are very small, and you can hear nuisance sounds from adjacent rooms. Internet worked for four hours, then stopped. When we asked why, no one knew. Staff spoke Turkish and a little Arabic, but not fluent English. Not a good experience.
