A good, pleasant place to stay while visiting Istanbul. The metro is only about 100 steps away and can get you to most places in the city. With the metro and tramway, it’s about 10 minutes to the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia. Istanbul city wall hotel. A nice, clean hotel.

I had one of the best cakes I’ve ever tasted at the Topkapi Cafe by the hotel entrance.

Really lovely and clean, with great customer service and a wonderful breakfast. The reception and waiters, everything about the place, gave it a warm family feel.

The reception staff were respectful, which is the only thing the hotel has going for it. Everything else was awful and exhausting. The location is poor and fairly far away. Smoke and shisha hit you as soon as you enter reception, because there’s a coffee shop downstairs. Doors wouldn’t shut properly, and the sheets and blankets had yellow stains. It was noisy, the restaurant tablecloths were dirty, the internet was weak, and there was always rubbish and empty glasses at the entrances on every floor. On the fifth floor, which is basically a rooftop, the windows are small and high up and the ceiling slopes. The bathroom door stopped opening. When an employee came to fix it, he grabbed a knife and tried to attack it. Embarrassing. I’d tell people to stay far away. That’s from someone who’s actually been there.
