Paris Garden Hotel Istanbul

The only people who were kind and helpful were the woman serving breakfast and the housekeeping staff. The reception staff and manager were unprofessional and no help. Our room wasn’t clean, and one of the beds was propped up with a brick. Breakfast was the same every day, which got boring fast. On Booking.com, we’d booked a room listed as having six beds across three separate bedrooms. We arrived to find four beds and two bedrooms. At first the front desk denied the difference; after we showed them the photos, they said the listing was old, even though we’d booked just two days before. They weren’t welcoming, and we had to argue to be taken seriously. They refused to cancel when we pointed out the mismatch, and said we could leave without a refund. I wouldn’t recommend this place.

The staff were really kind, and the room was very clean. Breakfast had a good variety, though I’d get there at 8AM, since the eggs and other hot food were a bit cold later on. Everything else was perfect, and I’d definitely come back if I visit Istanbul again. The one letdown was my late shower at 23:00: the water was fine, just not as hot as I wanted.

I stayed here in August 2022. The rooms aren’t five-star quality, but they were clean and everything worked, so I felt I got what I paid for. The location is very good, and the dining terrace has a great sea view. Jamal and the other staff were very helpful. One suggestion for the owner: put up a much bigger sign with the hotel name, so new guests don’t walk past Paris Garden Hotel Istanbul among all the other hotels in the area.

The breakfast view was wonderful, and the rooms had a lot of charm. There are many tourist spots close by, in a lovely area for walking around. A big thanks to the reception team in particular, who were very friendly and helpful and shared some great tips and recommendations. I’d recommend staying here.
