Coskun House Ayasofya

The workers were great and even arranged free parking for all four nights. The owner was nice on the phone, too, and let me move from a smaller apartment to a larger one when I arrived for just a few extra euros per night. It was low season, but I still had a very good stay, and I think this place deserves a better rating. The location is excellent, only minutes from the Hagia Sophia. It's hard to find, though, so better directions and a bigger sign would help. The apartment could use a renovation, but the reasonable price reflects that. I'm after a good rate, helpful people, and a great location, not the Ritz. I'd stay again if I got the chance.

My other place cancelled at the last minute, and flight delays meant I didn't arrive until 4am. The staff stayed up for me, and the manager was easy to reach on WhatsApp when I booked in a rush. I got a lovely, clean, cosy room on the top floor. The street is pretty, and the location is perfect.

It felt like a quiet, upscale neighborhood, and the place had all the comforts of home. I loved my stay. Just be ready to walk up a small hill, so heavy luggage might be a pain.

The host did help with the transfer, which was fine. But the room wasn't the one I'd booked, it was smaller, dirty, and smelled strongly of cigarettes. Everything in it seemed old. I couldn't sleep with that smoke smell. I'm not coming back.
