The place looked nothing like the pictures. They tried to put us in a horrible, dirty cellar room with no windows, and there were strange spots everywhere. At 3 AM, in the middle of the night, the owner told our group of women that we'd get a refund if we left. We left, but got nothing back. The whole thing felt like a huge scam. Don't trust these people. Worst experience in Istanbul!

The service was good, but the room they gave us was much worse. It felt like staying in a storage room, with a fire door and storage area right behind it. The room had just one window, and it wouldn't open properly, so breathing in there was difficult. The receptionist would take toilet paper and other things from storage and toss them into my room. I'd never been put in a room with a fire door before.

I arrived with a confirmed reservation and was told the hotel was basically unavailable because the conditions were “too bad.” They asked me to switch hotels or pay extra for the same room. They said this wouldn't have happened if I'd booked two weeks ahead, which makes no sense when my booking was already confirmed. Guests shouldn't be pressured for more money on arrival or turned away over the hotel's own problems. This was misleading and extremely unprofessional. The poor organization, unclear policies, and unfair treatment left me very disappointed, and I wouldn't recommend staying here.

I asked to check out early, but they wouldn't agree to any refund. The room was smaller than it looked in the pictures, the furniture was old and dirty, and the bed was in terrible condition. The bathroom smelled of cigarettes. I wouldn't recommend this hotel at all.

The staff and reception were really friendly, and the location was great. Everything was perfect. I'd like to come back on another trip around Istanbul, since it seems like a convenient place to stay when exploring the new town.
