Sultanahmet Milan Hotel&SPA

This was the most terrible, unpleasant stay I’ve ever had. The staff were disrespectful. While I was out of the room having breakfast, one of them went in and stole my bracelet and money from my husband’s wallet. I reported it to the owner and asked to see the CCTV, then discovered four minutes of footage had been deleted. The owner started abusing my husband and even tried to get physical. He called my husband “GPC” and said, “If you’re rich, why are you acting like GPC over money?” It was extremely disrespectful. When I checked the hotel reviews, I saw other customers had also complained about things being stolen. I was lucky to get my bracelet and money back because my husband and I knew how to deal with people like this. I strongly urge people to be extra cautious. I don’t recommend this hotel at all for couples or families. If you do stay, don’t leave valuables unattended, even for an hour or during breakfast. They didn’t apologize for what they did, and the argument continued. They ruined our vacation and our mood. Terrible, disgusting hotel. I don’t recommend it at all.

The location is excellent, and the room temperature was very comfortable. The rooms themselves are tiny, though, and both the hotel and the rooms need a general renovation, especially the bathroom. I also didn’t like paying separately for the spa and sauna. It would make more sense to include the spa in the room price.

We ended up reporting the hotel staff to the police after the night went so badly. They were disrespectful, treated us poorly, and weren't helpful. The room was dirty and smelled of old cigarette smoke and dust, and noise from nearby rooms kept me from sleeping.

The rooms and facilities were in awful shape. There were stains and a bad smell on the sheets and in the room, the bathroom was filthy and mouldy, and there were no amenities. The mattresses were old and dirty, the showers and bathroom were broken, the AC kept failing, and Wi-Fi barely worked. At breakfast, I saw flies, bugs, and dead insects in the food. They also deliberately switched off the free water and coffee machines, the AC, and the hot water from the time we arrived. There were no spa facilities either. We booked through a teletext agency, and I wish I'd checked the reviews first. On our first night, when we arrived from the airport, the hotel tried to get the driver to take us to a partner hotel. The driver refused. They then said the water wasn't working, there were electricity problems, and our rooms weren't ready, and told us they'd arranged a stay at their other hotel. Neither we nor the agency had been told about this in advance. They said the walk to the other hotel would take five minutes, but it was about 20 minutes uphill. My dad had a broken foot. Once there, we were ignored and treated rudely. Check-in took 40 minutes, and we had to wait for each group of four to use the lift, as that was its limit. It was around midnight by then, so food places were closed. We complained about the sheets and were told someone would bring clean ones or change them, but nobody did. We stayed three days and felt miserable the whole time. The hotel didn't care, and the agency was even worse when we contacted them. Please don't book through agencies like these. The only decent ones are ON THE BEACH, TUI, and maybe Love Holidays. I have more to say, but I'm mentally exhausted by the experience. I definitely wouldn't recommend it.
