The breakfasts stayed the same each day, but they were delicious. I’ll miss the cheese stick. ☺️ Reception and dining room staff were pleasant, and things were fine overall. The room cleaning needs work, though. They made the beds carelessly, and there was no toilet paper. We left a tip, but that didn’t make a difference.

The location is very good, about a 10-minute walk from the city centre, but there are plenty of other hotels in the area with better service and condition. Our room was small and in bad shape, with damage to the wall and jacuzzi. At check-in, we waited 20 minutes for the receptionist to show up, then they tried to sell us “special offers” for activities around the city at crazy prices.

The receptionists were pleasant, but the stay was a mess. On the fifth floor, our room sloped enough that a luggage bag rolled toward the lower side. The jacuzzi, fridge, and TV didn't work either. Breakfast was mostly sour or oily, so we stuck to eggs and coffee. We also asked for water and tissues on day two and were told those were only supplied on the first day. Most unsettling, someone opened our room twice on the second day while we were sleeping. The first time may have been a cleaner's mistake. The second time was unexpected, and staff called it “protocol.” They apparently had no record that we were staying, even though we'd paid for two nights. It made us wonder if the door might have been opened when we were out, too.

The breakfast and service were average, though the staff did try to help when our flight was around 8am. We needed a heavier duvet and they brought one, then the cleaning lady changed it back to other blankets. After we asked again, we got the duvet back. We were also given a room by 11:30. The room was very small and didn't have the garden view it was advertised with. The bathroom was so tight that a plus-size member of my family struggled to fit. The fridge and light weren't working either. The breakfast seating area was peaceful, with cats wandering around. All in all, just an average stay.

At Fuat Bey Palace Hotel, I felt at home from the day I arrived through the rest of my stay and when I left. The team made me feel welcome, comfortable, supported, and cared for. They were kind and helpful, and their English was good, which made things easier. A special thanks to the reception team, especially Yousuf and Janner, who were there 24/7. Their patience and professionalism really stood out. 😇😊❤️
