DoubleTree by Hilton Istanbul Macka

Our room had a wonderful water view, two bathrooms, and a living room, so it worked well for a couple or a longer visit. The hotel is in a walkable spot, with major sights, nightlife, and shopping easy to reach. Everyone was friendly, and Saltan at the bell hop went out of his way every day to help us and show kindness. I highly recommend it for a stay in Istanbul.

I came to Istanbul for a week of travel and relaxation before my hair transplant. I booked at the last minute for a great rate and learned the hotel was new. It’s modern and very nice, and the rooms have American USB-C chargers. The location is central but quiet, which was welcome when I didn’t want the bustle right outside. Room service was great and clean. Sultan was attentive and welcoming, opened doors for us when we got in taxis, and helped with our many bags. The thing that annoyed me was a no-show charge higher than my normal room price for that night. I was fine paying for the night I didn’t stay, but the extra fee felt unnecessary.

We’d planned to move to another hotel for our final day, but felt so at home that we added a night instead. That rarely happens, and we really appreciated it. The porters were exceptionally kind and understanding when helping with our luggage, and whatever we asked, they responded quickly and with a smile. From arrival, the reception staff greeted us warmly and were friendly, approachable, and communicative. They patiently and professionally answered all our questions and were ready to help. It was a memorable stay at DoubleTree by Hilton Maçka, and we’ll definitely return. Compliments to the whole team.

Everything was lovely, and the service was excellent. It’s a new hotel with a beautiful, upscale design. The only drawback is that the standard rooms have small windows and don’t get much natural light.
