Eagle Residence Taksim

I only visited, I didn't stay. It seemed like an economical hotel, without an elevator, close to Istiklal Street and Taksim. It is run by the same hotel as the adjacent Taksim Square HotResidece. Booking reviews mentioned a bathroom smell and said some rooms were very small and unclean.

The rooms are on the small side, but it’s very affordable and close to both Taksim Square and Istiklal Street. I stayed there about a year ago.

I’m writing this for my fellow countrymen. Another Iranian and I booked a double room, and they charged us about 60 liras extra on the website! A Turkish man there told me he charged Iranians a lot of money. When I objected, an Iranian woman grabbed my roommate, who later went to forensics and filed a complaint. They then threw my roommate’s suitcase out into the street and cursed a lot. They’re truly savages!

The place was filthy and smelled terrible. I also found the owners mean and spiteful, the treatment awful, and the business openly dishonest. There are thefts, too. I’d tell anyone visiting Istanbul to stay somewhere else.
