Elite World Istanbul Taksim Hotel

The room was clean and comfortable, and the hotel had a pleasant atmosphere. We were there for three days, and the staff were generally friendly and helpful. Ms. Arzu from housekeeping and Mr. Furhat at breakfast were especially kind and professional. The problem was the shower. We told reception on our first day that it wasn’t working properly, but it was never fixed during our stay. No one offered to move us or suggest another solution. That lack of follow-up was disappointing, and it’s why I’m rating the stay 3 out of 5. The hotel is good, but these small supervision issues need attention. Thank you.

Ali from the fifth floor took care of cleaning our room and was so attentive and kind. He handled everything we asked for with a smile, and his service made the stay even better. We had a wonderful time here, felt welcome throughout, and would happily recommend the hotel.

I’ve stayed here 3-4 times before, but this visit fell far below what I expect from a 5-star hotel. The most frustrating part was trying to get an iron before an important meeting at 8:30 AM. I asked at 7:30 and was told it was coming. I called again at 7:45, then at 8:00, and got the same answer. At 8:10, the lobby finally called to say there weren’t any irons available. I had to go to my meeting without properly pressed clothes. The repeated assurances, instead of an honest answer from the start, were especially disappointing. There were other problems, too. Both the shampoo and body wash containers were empty when I checked in, and the electricity suddenly went off while I was watching TV at night. After this experience, I won’t be coming back and can’t recommend the hotel.

The building was pretty ordinary, but the people working there made the experience good. Ms. Hengameh was especially kind and respectful, and the other receptionists were great as well. Mr. Aziz was a big help when we were leaving. One thing to know before booking: some rooms don’t have windows, so I wouldn’t choose one if you want fresh air. Overall, I had a good stay.
