Getting around on foot was easy because the hotel is close to the main attractions, and the staff were attentive and very helpful. My taxi ride was a different story: we agreed on a fare, but on arrival the driver asked for 30% more, saying traffic had been heavy. The photo is the view of the Bleu Mosque from my room.

The rooftop was my favorite part, especially having breakfast up there. The food was well prepared and there were lots of choices. The room was good enough for what I paid, and both the service and location were great. I’d definitely stay here again.

Breakfast on the roof terrace came with views across Istanbul, from Sultanahmet square on one side to the Marmara sea on the other. My room window also looked out toward Sultanahmet Blue Mosque. The room was clean and comfortable, and the hosts were lovely and helpful. A perfect location and a great stay.

The people were nice and the place was clean, and the price felt fair. The room itself was very basic and old, with an uncomfortable mattress and pillows. There was a tiny TV without channels, one bottle of hand soap, and cheap shampoo, so bring your own toiletries. Breakfast wasn't impressive either: food ran out early and wasn't replenished unless you told them. I was on the 4th floor, directly below the breakfast terrace, and woke up to stomping and noise early every morning.

The location and housekeeping were the only good things for me. Breakfast was meant to run until 10, but it was gone by 9:30 and they didn't refill it. The food was basic, just eggs, sausage, cereal and bread. The rooms and bathrooms were tiny, and the bathroom was dirty, with mold in the shower and the shower door held together. Horrible for the price.
