Fidan City Hotel

The location is good, and the second of the two rooms I used was acceptable. The first was too small and not nice. The guy at the desk was rude, and staff need to learn how to treat guests and behave. There isn’t really a lobby, just a desk.

The location made getting around easy, with the Havaist Bus Stop close by and Istiklal and Taksim nearby. I stayed at Fidan City Hotel for about a week and liked watching people pass from my street-facing window. The room was a decent size, with a small fridge and a bottle of water supplied each day. A few bits of furniture needed screws and one wall could use paint. The TV didn’t work, but the internet was good enough for YouTube and news on my laptop. Hussein at the front door took ages to figure out the TV issue, though he was really nice. The shower pressure was great and the water stayed warm. I was happy with my stay. It’s a family-run place, as is the restaurant downstairs. And sorry to the young woman, I think she worked there, who I startled getting out of the elevator. The hallway was narrow, and I was trying to hold the door for her by moving around it. I’d just walked in the summer heat and was sweating like crazy, so I probably appeared out of nowhere, lol.

We went with the family and were very pleased with the staff and service. It’s a family hotel we’d happily choose again and recommend to others. Thanks for everything, especially the warm smiles.

I only booked at the last minute, but it turned out to be a really good choice. The room is cozy, clean, and looked after, and the staff have been kind the whole time. They welcomed me warmly at check-in, too. I’m still staying here and already wanted to write because the atmosphere and service have impressed me. Definitely recommend it!
