Flats Company - Karakoy Apartment

I couldn’t use the apartment this time because of a last minute health problem, but I’m sure I’ll stay there as soon as I can. I’d liked it from the pictures and booked through airbnb for the weekend, then had to cancel. Even though the policy didn’t provide a refund, they kindly agreed to my request. I used to work in tourism, and as a guest and as a person, I really admire that kind of understanding and empathy. I’d seen some negative comments about this, but my experience was the opposite. Thank you again for being so kind.

For what you pay, this is great value. The service and location were amazing, with spacious rooms and self-service entry. It’s near Galata tower and the city centre. Hygiene was the one downside, but at this price it can’t be perfect!

I enjoyed my stay, and the wifi was strong. The room is large, about studio-suite size, in a prime location, and the appliances are old but work. It felt more like an Airbnb than a hotel, though. There wasn’t consistent desk staff, and daily room service wasn’t provided unless you asked. No deal breaker for me. I’d recommend it if you want a big room and great location and are fine with a no-frills stay.

The neighborhood was quiet, and our room was clean and suitable. We picked this place on our Istanbul trip about two years ago in early autumn, based on its reviews, price, and location. The staff were respectful, responsive, responsible, and outstanding. Thanks to them.
