Four Seasons Hotel Istanbul at the Bosphorus

I’m not sure I’d come back. The meal looked nicely presented, though I wouldn’t call it a wow, and having birds and a cat in the dining area didn’t feel good. I went for a meal at the main hotel and was shown to the all-day dining room, a glass conservatory beside the magnificent Bosphorus. The place is worth seeing on a first trip to Istanbul, though walking in, I got the feeling of being asked why I was there. It feels almost protected like a fortress.

Aqua restaurant is well worth trying, especially for the fresh fish. Breakfast was good too, and the staff’s warm smiles made the day start nicely. Everyone at the Hotel helped make our trip comfortable, and we felt warmly welcomed. Special thanks to the housekeeping team for such lovely service. Someone even arranged my makeup brushes and thought of every detail.

The front desk arranged a taxi to the airport when we were leaving, which made the trip out very easy. My friend and I were there for one night during an Istanbul layover, and we were glad we picked this hotel. Our room was extremely clean, and the front desk team were welcoming and attentive. We spent the evening at the bar, which had a nice atmosphere. Breakfast before checkout had eggs, fresh fruit and vegetables, a good selection of breads and jams, plus hot coffee and tea. I travel often for business and expect I’ll return.

We chose this hotel for our honeymoon because of its distinctive setting and history, and it lived up to what we hoped for. The spa team were wonderful, both in the Hammam and during the massage, and the bar cocktails are worth trying. The bar team added to the experience too. Housekeeping left thoughtful little surprises for us each day, so coming back to the room was always a pleasure. At the front desk, Hamit Ilme and Melisa Akinci helped with our special organizational needs. The staff were attentive to our well-being throughout and did everything they could to make the stay memorable.
