Golden Saray Otel

The only little downside was having no elevator, though the staff helped us with our luggage. They were all caring toward the guests, and the manager was very friendly and responded positively to each request. The breakfast was plentiful and really good, and the tea was a delight! The hotel is clean, the service is decent, and the staff are welcoming. It’s near Istanbul’s famous historic sights. They also offer Bosphorus excursions, so ask the manager about those. We didn’t regret our stay, thanks again for a wonderful time!

The location was really good, and everyone on staff was kind. Our guy even waited with me for the car, showed us the parking lot, and helped with the luggage. That was the positive side. Parking cost €10 per day, which wasn’t mentioned in the offer. “Apartment 107” was actually an attic room where two people could barely pass each other, and the bathroom was just as cramped.

We stayed at Golden Saray for nine nights on our first trip to Istanbul, which lasted ten days. My partner and I found the hotel through Google and booked because of the reviews and the services offered. We were really happy with our choice. The location is amazing: everywhere we went was within walking distance, and we didn’t need a bus, taxi, or train. Breakfast was included, with lots of healthy options. The woman serving breakfast each day was always smiling and friendly. The staff were all lovely: one young man’s mixed-up “good morning” and “good evening” greetings always made us laugh, and another man kept trying to speak English and was so helpful. They were always around and ready to help, and even offered laundry service for our clothes, which was very nice. Our room was clean, with slippers and a lovely rain shower. We got fresh towels daily and the bed was made nicely, though the room itself wasn’t cleaned or the bed made during the last four days. We didn’t mind too much since we still got clean towels each day. We have friends visiting Istanbul soon and will recommend they stay here. We’d love to return to Golden Saray. Thank you all. X

Ameen, thank you for helping me when my child was sick. He came with me to the hospital and stayed by my side until dawn. The owner is friendly and offers help both inside and outside the hostel, and the staff are very friendly too. The rooms are clean and the beds comfortable. It’s a very nice place if you’re on a limited budget. My family and I loved it, and we’ve decided to stay here whenever we visit Istanbul. I’d give it five stars for my experience.
