Golva Rooms

The location is right in the middle of restaurants, cafes, and supermarkets. Self check-in was easy, I could leave my bags in a locker after checkout, and they answered WhatsApp messages quickly. The room is small, so it may not suit a bigger person. I also found the bed uncomfortable, and the WiFi kept cutting out.

There’s no reception, and guests have to contact the hotel to arrange check-in. I couldn’t find this explained on the website, in the post-booking information, or at the property, so you’re left to work it out yourself. At midnight during my stay, I helped a confused guest who was banging on the front door. I also couldn’t find any instructions for checking out. I think you may need to contact them about checkout and payment too, but I’m not certain. Putting these details somewhere, such as in the booking information or at the property, would make the stay much better.

For a three- or four-day local stay, Golva is a great choice and was just what I needed. It’s a self check-in hotel, and you can reach the manager 24/7. If you’re looking for more than standard services, though, this probably isn’t the place.

I booked with this company and tried to reach them, but they cancelled my reservation and left me out on the street. They’re very unprofessional, communicate extremely poorly, and may falsely cancel bookings instead of honoring them. Don’t book with them.
