Grand Lark Otel

The rooms are on the small side, which seems common in Istanbul, but they were neat and clean. Breakfast was just normal. The staff were great, helpful, and hospitable.

Everything looked new, from the furniture to the equipment, and the hotel was clean, tidy, comfortable, and pleasant. Breakfast was great too. A perfect stay, well worth booking. I’d absolutely recommend it.

I needed somewhere to rest for a few hours before an evening flight, and this worked out really well. They let me check in earlier than I expected, and the airport was just 20-30 minutes away. The room was small but spotless and surprisingly well equipped, better than rooms I’ve had at many five-star hotels. Breakfast was also five-star quality, and the customer service was commendable. It suited my short stay perfectly, and I’d consider coming back for the same kind of brief stop.

The corridor had a really strong scent of perfume, and my room on the first or second floor smelled of tobacco. You could hear the neighbors, so bring earplugs if you’re a light sleeper. I also couldn’t use the air conditioner remote because it was under a plastic cover. Maybe they change that in summer, I’m not sure. I’ve never seen that before, even after staying in different places. I was there a while ago, though, and there were some good points: breakfast was good, check-in was quick, there were shops and a metro nearby, and shampoo and other basics were provided.
