I missed my flight after the hotel failed to arrange the taxi I’d asked reception to book three hours ahead for 1 a.m. The receptionist first said it was fine and told me to come down ten minutes early. When I asked in the lobby whether he’d called, he said he’d do it at 1, even though I explained that we needed to leave then. He told me to wait, and after 20 minutes with no taxi, I checked again. That’s when he admitted he hadn’t called and finally made the call. It was too late to get another taxi in time, and I’d lost control of the situation. I trusted someone to do his job, and the result was missing my flight. The service was poor and the staff didn’t seem reliable. I also found it ridiculous that an employee gave female guests his personal number and asked them to call him. I wouldn’t recommend this place.

Don’t stay here, even if it’s free. I was there in December and the place was filthy. Bugs showed up in the room every day, and the mattresses were dirty. The beds creaked at the slightest movement. Our door wasn’t locking, and we only realized it after four days of our five-day stay. Room cleaning was every two days, but all they did was make the bed and change the towels.

The staff are great and respectful, and the manager in particular was very helpful. I’d recommend a visit at least once to seamen, owners, charterers and operators.

Staff were rude, aggressive and full of themselves. They clearly weren’t communicating across shift changes. The worst part was waking up at 4:30 a.m. to find a stranger actually in my room, supposedly there to clean because they assumed I’d checked out. I’d be very worried about my safety if I had to stay in this hellhole again, whether I were a woman or a man. This was literally the worst hotel experience of my life. I have no words for it, and it may be the worst hotel in Turkey.

The people here were so accommodating and nice, and they spoke several languages. It felt like home, and they took care of everything I needed during my two-week stay. Laundry was available too. I’d happily come back and definitely recommend it.
