We had a really good stay at Han 1772. The hotel is beautiful, full of character, and fits the atmosphere of old Istanbul. There are plenty of restaurants, cafés, and historic landmarks within walking distance, which made exploring easy. The staff were very kind, welcoming, and genuinely helpful. A couple of things may matter depending on your room. The hotel tells guests in advance that the downstairs restaurant plays music until around 1:00 AM. We were told the noise wouldn't affect the rooms, and that was true for the bedroom with the large bed, which was quiet. But we booked for three, and the third sleeping space was a sofa bed near the entrance. That area was much louder, and I woke up or couldn't sleep at all because of the music every night. For two people, I don't think it should be a concern, but for three it's worth keeping in mind. The room also had poor wifi and little natural light, which were personal downsides for me. The photos, description, and cozy historic feel do reflect that, so it wasn't misleading. I just found the lack of light affected me more than I expected.

The glass-domed restaurant has a great atmosphere, but on a sunny day the sun hits most of the tables directly and it gets really hot. We asked if we could move to a shaded table, but they couldn't accommodate us, so we left without ordering. I think it could be a good choice for breakfast or dinner, just not lunch. Walk-ins aren't accepted, so make a reservation if you want to go.

This is a hotel with real character and lovely attention to detail. The furnishings are beautiful and tasteful, and the service was professional and attentive. It's in a quiet spot, good for relaxing while still close to the heart of the city. One of my best hotel experiences in Istanbul. Highly recommended if you value quality and peace.

We spent Chinese New Year here and found the hotel staff very helpful and nice, with excellent English. The restaurant staff spoke much less English. It's a comfortable, small boutique hotel, close to tourist attractions. The walls are a bit thin, so keep that in mind if you're sensitive to nighttime noise. The restaurant inside operates separately from the hotel.

Staying at @han1772hotel felt like stepping into another time. The grand portico and opulent historic building brought Agatha Christie to mind, and the lively street around it is full of architectural marvels and historic sights. Our room was comfortable and intriguing, with high ceilings and intricate details. The bed was like a cloud. The staff were knowledgeable and courteous, spoke excellent English, and clearly loved sharing the city's history. Their service added a real touch of luxury. Breakfast was the highlight, served with silver-service care and fit for royalty. For a visit to Istanbul, Han 1772 hotel offers a memorable mix of history and luxury.
